When Kaneto Shiozawa, who voiced the character Gray Fox in the Japanese version of Metal Gear Solid (1998) (VG), died in 2000, it was mistakenly reported that Eagles (who voiced the same character in the game's English version) was the person who had died. Although Eagles is alive and well - and continues to do voicework - the misinformation is still spread, and many fans of the game continue to believe that he has been dead for years. Eagles first learned of this fact during an interview in 2003, and considers it to be "kinda trippy."
